The board unanimously approves Dr. Marken's announcement that schools will be closed until April 13th on March 13th. Now, the closure of classrooms has been formally extended until May 1st but it is unlikely schools will reopen this school year.

Dr. Marken announces that schools will be closed for four weeks but provides assurances that education will continue. Dr. Marken also stressed that students registered for meal assistance would be able to pick up breakfast and lunch throughout the next four weeks and that accommodations would be provided for students without personal devices or Internet access.
