Devastating Loss Ends DHS Girls Volleyball’s Longest Streak
On the night of September 29th 2016, Monte Vista High School tragically ended the Lady Gaels Varsity Volleyball team’s 16-0 streak in three sets.”.
Though it was the first loss of the season, the team played a fantastic first set, ending with Monte Vista’s victory in a 28-26 game.
Second set Dublin played a strong game, falling short 25-19. The third and final set of the night entailed intense energy from the audience, Monte Vista cinched the game 25-23.
Though a disappointing loss, the Lady Gaels are doing phenomenal this season, with the best Dublin High Volleyball record to date. The 2016 varsity volleyball program is unique to this year in that every girl on the court is beneficial to the team.
Varsity volleyball will continues their season next week and hopes that more another winning streak is in their future.
