Wrestling Season Update: Cuffing Season or Weight Cutting Season?

While couples are getting together for the fall cuddling with each other, wrestlers are starting to lose weight to make it down to their desired weight classes. This is also the first year in all of Dublin High Wrestling history all 14 weight classes are completely filled out, with one back up wrestlers for each class. In previous years, DHS wrestling has struggled to find even one wrestler per a weight class.

The coach is pleased with how the team expanded this year, and he is also happy about young kids with great potential that were recruited for this year’s team. Despite the fact that Dublin has moved into a much more competitive league, the wrestling team might still be able to pull off a strong season this year, maybe even with a couple league titles and a lot of NCS qualifiers. This year is going to be a good year and possibly one of the best for the Gaels!
