Starting in mid-April, the Dublin Library began hosting its Tiny Art Show, a month-long showcase of miniature art by local teenagers and adults. This project is dedicated to recognizing artists in the community and putting their work on public display.

As a very diverse city, Dublin artists share meaningful stories with their pieces. The Tiny Art Show featured a variety of mini-sized paintings. While some canvases captured family and places traveled, others were abstract and depicted nature scenes. Moreover, some paintings drew inspiration from picture books and childhood novels while others captured more of a personal feeling. 

At the entrance to the art show, a series of art pieces from the Dublin Arts Collective lined the walls. These photos were taken from the Art Circuit for the 2024 Art in Neighborhood program. These particular works were from the February through May collection. The stated purpose of this gallery was to provide local artists with a means to display their artwork while offering opportunities for engagement, consideration, and upliftment. Among the pieces were an acrylic painting of an urn and candle on a tabletop, a watercolor landscape of marbles, and a photograph of vintage books. 

Many residents of Dublin seem to enjoy the art found around their community. “I think the Tiny Art Show was really cute and I like how all of this work is done by local residents of Dublin. It gives everything a cozy feeling,” Anika Kuppur shared after attending the showcase. The exhibition is available for everyone to view throughout this month during library hours, which can be found on the Dublin Library website.
