The Health Occupations Students of America, or HOSA, is an international organization dedicated to empowering future health professionals. Through a series of leadership development, community service, competition, and networking opportunities, HOSA members are able to gain valuable insight to all aspects in many professions within the healthcare field. HOSA is recognized by the Department of Education as a Health Science Education organization with hundreds of thousands of members spanning from middle school to the collegiate level.

Here at Dublin High School, our HOSA chapter has grown from having just a few members to a club now with more than one hundred members in only three years. We have completed major community service projects, competed at state and international competitions, had a student place first at the International Leadership Conference in Orlando last year, and have two of our members on the State Officer Team for California.

Because of this organization, Gaels have gotten the chance to network with people from not just across California, but around the world, as they explore their futures in the health professions. They’ve been exposed to all sorts of ideas, technologies, and opportunities that can only be found outside of the classroom. With the incredible leadership of our advisor, Mrs. Janet Kaehms, we hope to achieve all the goals we set for this term, and will do all we can to make our local, state, and global community, a better place.
