Volleyball Senior Night
This years girl’s volleyball season has become one of our best yet. Unfortunately our successful season is dwindling down to its end.
Our last home game of this year’s season was on Tuesday, October 18, against Amador Valley. This game was extra special because it was Volleyball’s Senior night. The seniors along with their parents, were thanked and congratulated for all of the effort and hard work they put in as a Dublin High volleyball player in their past years.
Before the game started, Sarah Grier, a senior volleyball player, sang our country’s National Anthem. Following a season of wins against Livermore, Granada, and Freedom our girls were determined to make their last home game a good one. Our team beat Amador with Dublin winning 3 sets and Amador winning none.
Our first set was won easily with a score of 25 to 15. Our girls continued to play well with our second set also ending 25 to 15. Pulling through at the end, our last set was won 25-17, with our last point by Michelle Anderson with an ace (meaning it was won with a serve). Coach Lopez was enthusiastic about the game, saying “they (the girls) played great, they talked, really from beginning to end, last night (Tuesday) was really fun.”
Be sure to continue to support our girl’s volleyball team with their tournaments this weekend!
