Students Enjoy First Dance of the Year

Did you go to that dance on Friday, September 6? If so, you probably had an amazing time.  People getting together with their friends and having a great time to start a new year at DHS with the first dance makes everyone from DHS show their dancing skills. After the first home game there was a dance held behind the sports complex. However, the game ended a little later than the people of DHS hoped for. It didn’t stop people from going to the dance. Around 9:30 or so, a lot more people started to show and started to dance to the music. During the dance, two juniors were having a blast. People enjoyed many things at the dance.

Many people enjoyed the music Rohan Moorjani, the deejay of the dance, was playing.

“The music is pimpin’,”  Tatiana Bouri, a junior, said.

As the dance continues more people from the football game showed up, mostly upperclassmen dancing in a huge group. The dancing had to stop because people were too close and the Assistant Principal Ms. Holthe was the one to stop them. Luckily it did not result into any consequences.

“Its an excuse to dance and have fun,” Caitlin Carrion, junior, said.

Everyone showed their amazing dance moves and people were were just having a splendid time.

All the fun has to end sometimes and the dance eventually ended. People wanted to keep dancing but everyone had to go home for curfew. People were willing to show their dance moves without any embarrassment and just having time of their lives.

“Of course, I think dances are really fun and that its a great way to meet new people. You get to dance with your friends with great music.” Nicole Overton, junior, said as she is willing to go to the future dances.

The dance was a great way to start a new year and a great way to meet new and unique people. DHS has more dances and everyone should have school spirit and have a great time in the future dances.

“I had a crackin’ time,” Quinn Bennett, Junior, said, as she and her friend Tatiana Bouri both dance to the music, showing their dance skills.
